Collectively, the Co-Directors of THE CREATORS COLLECTIVE have worked in New York City at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Louise Blouin Media, BRIC/Celebrate Brooklyn, ARTnews, GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), Churner and Churner, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Gladstone Gallery, BEAT Brooklyn, 511 Gallery, Brooklyn Artist Gym, and in Florence, Italy at Il Ponte Gallery.

Their positions ranged from artist services to volunteer coordinating, press and marketing to stage managing and social media to event planning, among other roles.

Together, they have worked on the following choreographic collaborations: a duet entitled “Due,” a dynamic piece developed entirely through chance operations and turn-taking; and “Literally,” a language and movement based project that derived from an exploration of various forms of art and media. (http://literallyslc.tumblr.com/)

Between projects, they traveled to Florence, Italy where Mila studied Art History and Printmaking and Nasrene studied Italian Cinema and Painting.  Back at Sarah Lawrence College, Mila curated a show in Heimbold Visual Arts Center entitled, "MIRRORS MINDS & IDENTITIES" while Nasrene choreographed an interdisciplinary performance piece layering contemporary dance with live vocal accompaniment and recorded audio from an Italian Neorealist film.  These separate educational and artistic paths led to their mutual desire to create interdisciplinary art pieces together that drew on their knowledge of contemporary American culture  and their passion for visual and performing arts.
