Nia & Ness' FIRST BIRTHDAY AND COMPANY FUNDRAISER FEATURING performances in song, dance, and spoken word by artists who create work in the themes of love, intimacy, and strength. 

MEET NIA & NESS

Nia & Ness are a dancer-poet duo based in Brooklyn, NY. They met in Philadelphia four years ago while attending Temple University and immediately began a collaborative art process, as well as an intimate relationship. Since then, the couple has performed at multiple venues in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and has been featured in local newspapers and a BRIC TV segment. Along with the couple's work together, Nia is a proud BFA dance graduate from Temple. After graduation she danced in Germany and France with DAGADA dance company; and Ness, a journalism graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, has freelanced as a writer and editor for several ethnic media outlets.

The couple's work is informed by the complexities of their relationship, and aims at a deeper understanding of their co-reality through intense investigation of their individual identities. niaandness.com
